Here at Mephisto Genetics, we always strive to push our autoflower breeding work above and beyond the upper echelons of what’s possible.

This time around we set out to craft the ultimate 50/50 hybrid strain, like He-man calling on the power of Greyskull we hit up our best clone fairy contacts and raided our seed collection, searching down a long winding road of Cookies/OGKB variants in the archive (all puns intended) on a quest to deliver a cultivar that provides a shot of energy followed by a face and mind-melting stress erasing effect. The resulting strain is also a grower's delight producing uniform medium to large branchy plants loaded with the highest quality nuggetry pumping out resin on a backdrop of rich, colourful hues. And did we mention we’ve already won an award at the Autoflower World Cup for Do-si-delirium?!

Getting into the weeds of it Do-si-delirium was part of a larger grow-out to sample and find the best of the OGKB lineage cultivars. We sampled a lot of Do-si-dos varieties, but realistically, what could be a better parent for our autoflowering version than the OG, original Do-si-dos by Archive Seed Bank? In our photo-to-auto conversion projects, when looking for a photoperiod parent, we often elect to work with a breeder whose strain or strain family we’ve previously used.

We paired the Do-si-dos with our version of an autoflowering Amnesia strain: Fugue State. We had used Amnesia Haze Bx1 from Archive Seed Bank as a parent in that project, having previously trialled several Amnesia clone-only variants, but our favourite was this selection grown from seed from Archive Seed Bank’s Do-si-dos F2 #22.

Our Do-si-delirium project started at the tail end of the Covid lockdowns in Spain, making her one of our first projects released that has been selected from start to finish at our new project development facility in the montañitas of Catalunya. We started with a huge pheno hunt, looking for the perfect Do-si-dos female to start the project from, and in the second round of growing, there she was. A truly standout female, glistening with silver resin in our selection tent, we were like moths to a flame, our little faces were overjoyed like we’d struck a vein of gold whilst having a piss in the outback.

Breeding started with a Mitch’s Pick standout Fugue State from our first F4 run, looking to maintain the original flavour profile of the Do-si-dos, with oodles of nug sites and branches on branches on branches.

An award-winning strain already, it’s about time you smoke some up and see exactly why. Prepare yourself for some citrus and cream and a buzz that will get those creative juices flowing.

Frosty, colourful, big, branchy, tight node spacing, a flavour profile to die for and a buzzing uplifting high. Do we need to go into this more? Yeah, okay. Let’s get into it.

A bigger plant, with lots of lateral branching and tight node spacing, expect her to require help keeping her heavy frame upright. A great candidate for those of you who are a dab-hand with training methods, and fantastic strain to help you learn them if you don’t. She has great vigour too, able to bounce back from any potential growing mishaps and shows good uniformity between plants.

Expect colours to show through in the latter stages, with deep purples, magenta, burgundy, rose and canary yellow. Each plant can give a slightly altered fade with various colours kissing the tops of the colas and sputtering into greener less mature foliage on the way down.

Do-si-delirium shines with her frost levels. You couldn’t ask AI to give you a more beautiful nug structure and trichome proliferation. Each top is capped off with almost a frosted helmet shape, stacked to the absolute brim with diamonds.

After curing, right away, you get hit with candied Meyer lemons and a delicious creaminess that balances all of the citrus notes out, giving very frosted lemonade vibes. Overall, a very citrus-forward dessert vibe through and through. Some plants have a slight white pepper finish on the nose, adding another layer of complexity.

Do-si-delirium provides a clear and cerebral experience. A euphoric and balanced buzz that keeps you centred and alert. You do feel a buzz, but it takes on an uplifting and even creative personality that works very well for outings and gatherings. She’s highly recommended for social outings, productivity, workouts, creative and recreational projects, etc. You’ll always want something like this around to share as well. The sweet and creamy citrus paired with an energetic and euphoric buzz lands this at the centre of your smoking table during events.
