Welcome to the world of MephistOreoz!

This project is, as far as we’re concerned, what Mephisto Genetics is all about; turning legendary photoperiod cuts into the absolute best autoflowering strains available on the market today.

Our Oreoz cut comes from a tightly held cut in NorCal circa 2021, revered for its insane bag appeal and high potency. While the original Oreoz cut was sometimes lacking in the flavour and aroma department, MephistOreoz retains the bag appeal and potency, with an added kick of Mephisto terpladen goodness.

We’ve taken our classic cut of Oreoz and crossed it with Sour Stomper x Double Grape to amplify its best traits. The result? A strain that maintains the eye-popping frost, vibrant colours, and dense flower structure of the original, but with a richer, more pronounced aroma and flavour. Expect a gas-forward scent, with an earthiness and subtle undertones of spicy chocolate, focusing on enhancing the classic Oreoz, without too much interruption from the grape-heavy Sour Stomper x Double Grape parentage.

MephistOreoz is not just a pretty face; she’s also a powerhouse in terms of potency. She’s not an elegant Randy Savage elbow drop from the top, but more like a devastating Doomsday Device from the Road Warriors. We’ve ensured that the offspring inherited the high THC content of both parent strains, making it a dead cert for anyone seeking a potent high. We’ve also ensured low leaf-to-flower ratios, making for easier trimming and more of a plain-sailing, hands-off grow.

Moving many of our projects from the original farm has allowed us to get our hands on some of the classic American genetics that were just impossible to find in Spain; it’s also given us, technically speaking, a fuck-load more space to make our selections. We pollinated roughly 500-600 plants with reversed Oreoz pollen, before selecting just our two favourite individuals with that gas-forward aroma we were searching for. We then grew out approximately 500 plants from each selected photo/auto hybrid and selected our favourite six plants to reverse and self/intercross. During the F3 generation, we continued to sift through large populations to select for all traits mentioned above, with special emphasis on selecting away from the grape aroma and flavour (which is super prevalent in both Sour Stomper x Double Grape) to better capture the essence of Oreoz in auto form.

The result? A frost monster with bag appeal and potency for days, with added complimentary and luscious terps and aromas, to an easy-to-grow plant that won’t confine you to trim jail for an eternity just to sample her.

She’s laden with frost. Easy to trim. Not nutrient sensitive and motors through all growth and flower cycles? She ticks all the boxes.

Expect a larger plant; she’s one of the tallest in the Mephisto catalogue, with an upright frame and missile-like bud sites. With a low leaf-to-flower ratio, expect training and defoliation to be at a minimum, with the greatest benefit of this during your final trim. She’s a lanky gal, with main cola dominance and big internodal gaps. Expect to see strong colouration coming through as she finishes her cycle, deep purples and blacks on fan leaves, as well as deep into the sugar leaves and bracts. Black leaves sandwiching white nugs, if that doesn’t scream Oreoz, I’m not sure what will. 

Even though she’s an Indica-leaning hybrid, expect a structure more reminiscent of OG kush lines, with a long-lasting high that hits the creativity nodes, leaving you feeling upbeat. Physically relaxing and mentally heightening and euphoric. A classic strain for recreational smoking. Well-grown examples will test above and beyond 25% THC. She’ll be a strain that you’ll want to share with everyone you know, if you’ve any left for them that is.

Drawbacks? Well, if we can call them that. As a bigger plant, she’ll struggle in smaller spaces, and without your odour control dialled in, she’s likely to stink out the place.
