From deep in the Mephisto Genetics jungle lab, this sun-drenched slice of genetic paradise has been years in the making. We’ve been sitting on a cut of Lime One, a tightly held, cut-only photoperiod from the Pacific Northwest for a while now, and she’s been teasing us with her bright, mouth-puckering lime zest ever since. Back when we started Mephisto, you couldn’t find anything like that profile in the UK or Europe. The second we got a proper whiff, we knew she deserved the full Mephisto treatment.

 

So we set to work, blending that razor-sharp citrus with our own tropical leanings. Once kiwi-forward terps started emerging from our Sour Stomper work, dosing it up with a splash of Creme de la Chem, we rode the wave, pushing it to F4 and releasing her as the first F4 Mephisto-medley Illuminauto. What came out the other side was something else entirely; an autoflower that bursts with fresh citronella and mandarin on the vine, before settling into a cured profile of straight-up lime rind and sweet popsicle. She hits smooth and starts light; clear-headed, buoyant, and just functional enough to roll another one, before melting into a deep, breezy calm that wraps you in warmth, even on a typical British summer evening. She’s Perfect for warm nights, torch-lit chats, and those moments when productivity takes a back seat to paradise.

Picture this: you’re lounging on a quiet beach, toes buried in warm sand, a perfectly chilled mai tai in hand, garnished with a mint sprig, lime wedge, orchid flower, and pink umbrella; the whole works. Overhead, the sky is a Bob Ross masterpiece of tangerine and rose as the sun dips behind swaying palm trees, casting long shadows across flickering tiki torches. Jimbo and the Mephisto band strike up a twilight tiki serenade, their ukuleles and pahu drums sending music drifting on the gentle breeze.

Ned appears with another fresh mai tai and a perfectly rolled zoot of Kiwi Lime 1. The air fills with a sweet, lime-forward cloud of terps. That, my friends, is the essence of Kiwi Lime 1, our latest slice of genetic paradise from the Mephisto jungle lab.

She starts like a light island breeze; clear-headed and buoyant, then slowly melts into a relaxing, full-body float. Not so heavy that you’ll sink into the deck, but not one for productive afternoons. More suited for hammock pondering, casual snacks, and wondering whether you’ve got time for another joint before the sun goes down. The high lingers with long legs, easing tension without turning you into a sandbag. Think of it as your Blue Hawaii moment: time slows, the background hum of reality fades, and suddenly you’re vibing barefoot on the sand, cocktail in hand, watching the sunset.

Kiwi Lime 1 put out 133g of dense, citrus-soaked buds with a complex terp profile, lime-forward with hints of chem, fuel, and fermented fruit. This pheno ran on the bushier side with tight nugs, so good airflow is key. While a bit leafier than some might prefer, the aroma, flavour, and overall experience made her a standout. An excellent daytime or creative smoke with just enough funk to keep things interesting.

A stress-free grow for this novice-friendly pheno. Responded beautifully to training, with multiple fat colas, excellent fade, and a heavy, intoxicating aroma that shifted from sweet to sour and gassy. Tenacious_Trichomes praised the plant's structure and vigor, calling it “another hit out of the park.” Final yield was around 3–4 oz, with the smell alone hinting at a strong, flavorful smoke to come.

An easy, hands-off grow with strong lateral spread and great yields. This pheno showed some foxy bud structure, but made up for it with a dense frost coat and a solid 180g harvest. While the trim was trickier due to foxtailing, the overall experience was low-effort and rewarding. The fermented citrus profile carried from flower into cure, mellowing into a rich, earthy smoke perfect for winding down.

This squat, bushy pheno was the loudest in the tent, sweet lime terps with serious presence. After topping, she stacked in nicely with uniform growth and a strong citrus zest through flower. Buds were more typical of autos, less dense than BBP but coated in trichomes. At just 36g dry, she was small but mighty, delivering a clear, happy headspace and a vibe that floats just above the surface. A solid pick for fans of bright fruit-forward strains with functional effects.

This pheno responded beautifully to topping—an even canopy of multiple tops with vigorous growth throughout. Buds were super sticky, but the trim was a bit leaf-heavy. Despite that, this one stood out with a truly unique terp profile and chemi-lime flavour combo. A quick fade at the end made for a photogenic harvest - top marks from a seasoned grower.

The profile leans skunky-chemi with a touch of citrus, and the smoke is medicinal and sedative, making it ideal for nighttime use or making hash.
